julie at Bowery Ballroom

I have been a big fan of them since they released their first single “flutter” in 2020; they have a very cohesive aesthetic and identity, with strong singles that leave you begging for more. Their sound emanates staple alternative bands like Swirlies or Drop Nineteens, but with a modern angst. The opener, Deux Visages, was unfamiliar to me, but I left the show feeling excited for their future as a band.

My only question is, can they please release an album?

Here are my photos from the show:

Orange County shoegaze band julie performed an energetic and noisy set at Bowery Ballroom in NYC. This young trio brought a mysterious, moody, yet lively energy to the crowd as they performed a generous set of their grungy and distorted tracks.
